Welcome to Jonathan Anstock of QTPD, offering professional development to teachers, teacher aids, carers and parents in SE Queensland (based in the Noosa region), and beyond.
Jonathan’s particular areas of interest and continuing personal research include:
Child development from a physical/psychological perspective
How children acquire foundation faculties of literacy and numeracy
Designing curriculum around student readiness in preference to legislation
Children’s inner and outward movement as indicators of their stage of development
Dyslexia, dominance and laterality correction through appropriate movement exercises
Uninhibited primary reflexes as a source of learning and behaviour difficulties
Designing lesson content to meaningfully engage hyperactive and hypoactive children - to ameliorate the polar extremes of temperaments
